T&L Team goes to Atlanta for Damon Meeting:)

We recently returned from a trip to Atlanta where we were updated on some new and exciting information involving the braces we use, the Damon System. We have been using the bracket system exclusively now for 3 years and what a difference it has made in our treatment outcomes!

This was an exiting trip for all of us. It gave the staff a chance to interact with other offices using the same incredible technology. As a result, we brought back a lot of new things that will be incorporated into the practice in the upcoming weeks. One of the most exciting of these is the new Damon Clear bracket. It is the first of its kind and will allow us to offer a clear, ceramic bracket using the same Damon technology.

We were chosen as one of only a few Damon offices worldwide to be able to offer this initial launch of the Damon Clear Bracket. The only office in Rock Hill and Fort Mill, SC! It is truelly a monumental time for our practice and our patients!!!!!!! This clear bracket is a revolutionary advancement, in that we finally have a completely clear alternative for those [patients that don't want others to know they are wearing braces:)

We anxiously await the opportunity to share all of our new additions with you and look forward to seeing you soon. This is clearly a time for celebration in our practice!!!

New Dentists Low Country Shrimp Boil

Thomas & Leitner Orthodontics hosted a Low Country Shrimp Boil for all of the new York County dentists and their partners. It was a great success. Dr Leitner and Dr. Thomas had a chance to meet and talk with these "new dentists". By getting to know our new dentists, Thomas&Leitner can better understand their needs and expectations. This ultimately provides better patient care.

Forty five guests were present. Thomas & Leitner Orthodontics plan on making this an annual event.

Education, Oral Hygiene, and Damon Q Bracket

The week started with a lot of excitement. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Leitner were down at the new dental school, that just opened at MUSC in Charleston, SC. What an amazing new facility for the state of South Carolina. Both doctors enjoy teaching and do so on a monthly basis. It is very rewarding being able to influence residents who are eager to learn all they can about the specialty of orthodontics! A new group of residents just began their three year journey of becoming an orthodontist. Over the next three years, they will learn about how we treat our patients using the Damon System and how we manage our practice. All of the residents are excited about using the new Damon Q bracket, which we incorporated into our practice this summer with much success.

On the horizon are a lot of new exciting evolutions in our practice and we look forward to sharing them with you as they are implemented. The new oral hygiene protocol is going very well. It is allowing us to help our patients on a whole new level monitor and improve their hygiene with the help of Crest and Oral-B.
